Advances in dental care are happening at a rapid rate. One example of this is getting a permanent dental
crown. Now with the current technology available to your local dentist, they can have it available the same
day. Of course buying this machine is not cheap, and still improvement needs to be done. In the next several
years, expect many innovations in dental tech to help both the dentist and the patient. Stay tune for more

Finding a great dentist that fits your needs, as a patient can be challenging. Fortunately,
there are many good dentists out there. One point need to understand, is that good
coomunication between the patient & dentist can be very valuable. Hence, make sure
that your dentist fits the profile that you may be looking for. Also, give him/her
some time to understand your needs. This will be discussed further down the road.
Good luck.

Dental insurance : What they cover, don't cover, the differing plans, etc. - can be a challenge for the
patient & the dental office. One quick point, first understand the difference between a PPO & HMO dental
insurance. The PPO gives partial limitation in choosing a dentist & the HMO is very limited. Hence, with a
HMO if assigned to a dental office. Then basically, you the patient need to go only to that dentist.
Before changing, have to get a OK by the insurance company. A PPO dentist under your plan, excepts a lower
fee from the insurance company & hence, you the patient. Hence, by the patient going to the PPO dentist in
their plan, they can save. But one point, with a PPO plan can still go to a dentist that is not on your
plan usually, but do not save as much. Each insurance company is different, but the key is to get a good
understanding of your plan by asking your dental insurance company & the dental office that you are a
patient with. There are several other points will discuss down the road.

Dental esthetics is very subjective. Part of what people want is a perfect smile, that usually implies
very white teeth. To get that perfect smile, there are many factors. One is the shape you are in. The oral
health shape that is. How are your gums, the oral care, etc. If do not have good gums, and not maintaining
them, then usually the veneers, laminates, crowns , etc that you will be getting will not last as long.
Worst yet, you may end up losing your teeth much earlier than necessary. We will discuss other points in
detail in the future. Look at the forum on top, as they will be answering many of your questions. Thanks.
